Using a 12V AC power supply with a tube preamp that requires a 9V? - tube mic preamp
I have an "ART Tube MP Studio Mic Preamp. My cat has disappeared and the little wall wart to the point where nothing is saved.
I have a 12-volt power outlet with the GA itself, so that the draw will not be a problem.
I know that with the electronic "overvolting a common practice (pedals, microphones, etc.), but I'm not sure it's the truth with this kind of thing. It should be noted that the tube is not used even is the precursor of all the MOSFET, with the last step is passed through the hose heat.
From what I can say is all I got to win the higher noise level or May, but I just want to be sure.

You can make a voltage divider into three equal resistors. You must set the link at the top of the second resistor. The power resistors difference but you do not want the maximum they could afford to buy a class project, provided that they are the same and giving reasons. In the course of the current I would say that my three resistors of 100 ohms five watts each shot from the hip. The tip of the second resistance is 8V. And most of the semiconductor opperate effectively 5V.
